Save the date! WCCM Seminar
The John Main Seminar 2024 with Archbishop Jason Gordon, in person and online Indiana, USA, Monday 8th - Sunday 14th July, 2024 How we can act hopefully in a collapsing civilisation with such hostile forces of de-humanisation? How can we understand contemplation in this social & spiritual crisis? In facing these hard questions, we will consider the twin path of contemplation & synodality: a faith-filled, hopeful way to a better world & a fuller humanity. Practicing synodality will replace the usual silent retreat. |

WCCM's aged 18-45 Retreat
Where has the joy gone?: Reconnecting with our true selves Bonnevaux Abbey, France, 30th July-4th August, with Laurence Freeman et al. We live in a time when depression, anxiety and other emotional dysfunctions are on the rise. Joy seems to be getting further and further away. The negative consequences of this spiritual atrophy we experience in modern times are fanaticism, polarization, consumerism, existential emptiness, intolerance and a loss of will to live. But the Spirit lives within us and meditation is one of the ways to reconnect with the Spirit. |
Cost: from €450 euros. Bursaries available

Mon-Fri silent retreat with daily addresses
Meister Eckhart: Counsellor, Disturber, Friend Mon 19th-Fri 23rd August, with Simon Parke Sheldon Retreat Centre, Exeter Eckhart is a friend for anyone with a life to ponder, a heart to nurture and a God to explore. His truths remain timeless. He stayed in church leadership positions all his life yet preached and counselled a spiritual vision that distrusted the artifice of ritual and church dogma: and no striving. ‘If the only prayer you say in life is “Thank you”, that is enough’, as he said to his monks. |
